Golden West Shutters is the only local plantation shutter manufacturer in Orange County. Every shutter we sell is designed, milled, finished, and inspected at our 10,000 square foot factory in Lake Forest, just off the 241 Toll Road. We are also a full-service window supplier, which means you are buying directly from the people building your shutters, not from a reseller or import warehouse.

The factory and adjacent showroom are open to the public during business hours. We encourage every potential customer to visit before placing an order. A 30-minute walk-through tells you more about what makes our shutters different than any brochure or website can.

In-Home Measurement and Design

If you would rather have us come to you first, your in-home consultation is conducted by the owners themselves, Dave and John, who have been the original and only owners of Golden West Shutters for over 35 years.

Both are college-educated engineers (Dave in Industrial Engineering, John in Mechanical Engineering) with decades of hands-on manufacturing experience. They are not selling shutters from a script. They are designing solutions for your specific windows based on material performance, light exposure, room function, and long-term durability.

During the consultation you will receive:

• Pros and cons of every design option for your specific home
• Precise measurements taken on the spot
• A written estimate with itemized line pricing before they leave

If you decide to move forward, your shutters enter production at the factory. If you decide not to, that is fine. Our reputation depends on every customer feeling that they made an informed decision.
