Ask exactly how the product operates. You want a clear answer: cordless wand, motorized, or shutter louver tilt. If the answer is vague, the product probably has a cord somewhere. Ask where any internal cords or retraction mechanisms sit, since some products marketed as cordless still hide cords that can pose a risk if a part fails.
